Post subject: New Ranks/Rank Images

Hi all!

I am sure that quite a few of you have noticed the new rank titles and new rank images. I know that some of you may feel disappointed, in that you seem to have gone down in rank. However, in actuality you haven't. The rank system is quite a bit different than it was before, and as a result, though many of you still retain your rank via the number of posts you have made, your title and rank image are a bit different. Here is the new rank order, and the images associated with it. Enjoy! Happy

Treant is perfectly attainable... I have 1300 posts already, and the board has only been online for 6 months.

Something that just occured to me:
Whenever a system like this is intorduced or changed someone will usually predict that someone else will make pointless posts and replies just to increase their rating.
But in all the forums ive been to Ive never seen it happen. So I just wondered if anyone else had.
And does it really mean that much to anyone, that they would be willing to annoy so many people and risk having any future posts ignored just to make newbies think theve been here longer.

I think that there are silly and annoying people in every place you go... online or off. Thankfully no one here has really attempted that sort of thing, and so I've not had to reduce any post count numbers. I had seriously thought of making sure that any posts in the Far Meadows wouldn't add to post count, but then one of the mods pointed out that some of the users only post in there, and it would hardly be fair. I think that the most fair thing would be to make it so that the post count and rank change from forum to forum, but I haven't forced my tired brain to wrap itself around that problem yet so as to fix it. *sigh* It's on my list.... Yes, I know this is old, but I was was about to make a refernce to this system in a poll topic (The EC one) and was wondering. Just what definition does this grove give the mighty Treant?

Well I believe some assumptions can be gained from the forums of various Treants, such as the Peace Pine, or especially the Wellness Willow, more can also be gained from the various refrences to the Treants in the Grove RP's. Those would be good places to start. (a word search for Treant with the extra criteria that the posting be by TreeSprite might yield some interesting results. I however wish to confer with the Nymph, before I express my own beliefs and impressions.
