C12DS Project Prepares for Beta Testing
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
06/11/2003 - The C12DS Project is back in gear, and is preparing for Beta Testing! Lacota, the manager for the C12DS project has been in touch with me to let me know what's going on. If you'd like an inside look at what the C12DS project will bring to your world, and learn more about what's in store for you when it's released you can have a look at my Interview with Lacota.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, and hurry on over to see the interview because Lacota left us a nice present. Wink

That was great!

Now (if possible) im looking forward to it even more than before.
And itll be a perfect world for a new wolfling run im planning, set to start about the same time as this comes out. (Coincidence?)

Sorry to keep comming up with questions but ive got 2 more:
1. I notice that the whole world works from one favioret place. Also that Lacota said any useful applets would be included. Will this include the otion to set favioret places within the world as in the original game?

2.It was very frustarting in c1 to be unable to control/move the grendels. This was fixed in C2 etc. when they were treated like normal creatures and so could be selected and moved.
Will they be selectable in the new world, or at least movable so they can be kept out of the way of norns.
Finally do oyu think they would get on with C3 grendels?

Is anyone testing this on Linux DS? The reason I ask is that while beta testing Norgarden 1 & 2 on Linux I came up with several bugs that did not appear in the Windows version. BTW, Norngarden 2 is soon to be released though it is not free. You can get more info here:

I sincerely doubt that.... but I'll ask Lacota.

As the metaroom is in the DS engine I would think that you will be able to control and move the Grendels just as you will be able to pick up and move your norns. I think the point with this project was to keep all of the good and get rid of the bad. I'm sure that they will get on with the C3 Grendels in the same manner as any Grendel gets on with a Grendel. Which I suppose isn't saying much for being able to keep peace in the world is it? Wink

I'm going to love this so much!
I'll have a world just for the c1 breeds... it'll be like playing c1 again... only with a better engine backing it up.
I don't think I'll like crossbreeding the c1 norns with c3 ones. I didn't like mixing them with c2 norns. But that's just my personal taste.
This brings back happy memories. *purrs*

Well my grendels tend to get on quite well with each other, as long as there are no norns around.
I guess ill just have to intorduce them and see what happens.

But im really looking forward to this comming out. I think im going to sort through all my agents and meta rooms and get rid of the ones i don't use anymore, and make room for the new ones!

Lol, I did that just before I saw your post! I've already created a world exclusively for C12DS, too! Smile
